I find it strange though how it can re appear and dissapear at certain times, and then later be seen flying in the sky with a man in it  ::) We shall see  :)

Au contraire, mon ami... there is a whole host of ships for MS Flight Sim.

Two quick examples...
http://www.fs-shipyards.org/index.php?ind=downloads
http://secure.simmarket.com/fsx-ships-page-1.chtml

They do however handle quite poorly (like I imagine the SSE helicopter will) as FS was never really desgined for water operations. I usually fly a large amphibian aircraft in FSX (PBY 6-A), and she handles nothing like the real thing on water even after countless hours of finetuning.

I never used ships in FSX yet, but in FS9, it was like taxiing a plane, but on water.

Is that still the same then?  ;D

No worries, it was a surprise to me too when I found out..

Must say that I'm looking forward to the helicopter, hoping it will be playable if ever so arcadey to fly (not expecting the general customer base to be able to fly a helicopter - or land it in heavy seas). A great way to get a better overview of a complex situation, getting great pictures, or just ferry VIP's and other tourists to and from a ship for example.

And yeah Mad_Fred, it's pretty much the same. The aircraft/ship has no weight just to add to the surrealness so you feel like youre floatingrolling a paperboat/plane across the great blue.

Yes, I thought so, cheers!!

It wasn't really impressive in FS9, I didn't think it would be in FSX.   :)
