Thank you! These ferryes are really nice, and you may guess why do i love them probably...  ;)

Well i do not vorrey about your fishing, because the fishing for fun almost always ends with throwing the catch ( fishes ) back in theyr home, safe and live.

So, probably you will be doing that too, but you can still take some pictures of your catch, before you maybe throw it...

Anyway, fishes will probably survive...

Kind regards.

I'm not af fan of things getting bigger and bigger all the time.

I would not like to participate on a cruise upon a ship with 5399 (!) other passengers. It's too much.

Captain. Mitch and laarsdehaan: So what would you think about a big barbed hook getting pulled through your lower jaw without anesthetization, which drags you under the water until you're nearly drowned, then its pulled out again by force (probably your jaw is broken then), and then you will be thrown out of the water again? There is no doctor to take care of your severe injuries - so how long do you think you will survive?

But I know there are lots of people thinking like you out there ...

Larsdehaan, don't forget packing, or you will miss the boat.

yeah im also not such a fan of bigger and bigger things and you know why norwegian coins are good you can use them when you are fishing instead of lead and you dont have to be afraid that your money is going to be stolen

Well"Allure Of The Seas" is the same ship as Oasis Of The Seas, it's Royal class, and it's litle bit luxury.

Passenger capacity is 5.400 passengers, gross tonage is 220.000 and it's 1.187 ft ( 361 meters ) long.

It's a very luxury ship!

Well, to be honest, somehow i prefer smaller cruise ships too, as you say to be with 5400 unknown other peoples and to sit with 30 other peoples on the table isn't OK.

I prefer ships like these:

Seabourn pride:

Seabourn Odyssey:

Le Levante:

Le Boreal:

Nautica:

Something like these, about 100 to 200 meters.

But i don't want to see these topic locked even if it's a talk, so... let's get back on the topic.

It's now a topic about

  • wishing Lars a niche holiday (which I do)
  • wishing that Lars doesn't catch more fish than he can eat (which I do as well)
  • the best size of cruise ships (where Lars and I agree)

So it's really hard to get off topic here ...

I have some pictures from a company trip with Color Fantasy, not very many pictures though. We spent most of the time in the bar and casino. I loved that there was a camera in the bow that you could watch on the TV in your cabin, first thing I did when I woke up :)
I hope larsdehaan get to take some nice pictures of Color Fantasy/Magic

Morning view

Not entirely sure whether or not this is appropriate, can a mod please delete if not:

I was on a cruise ship where we had a similar camera hard wired to a single monitor in the engine control room so that we could see what was happening when we were manoeuvring., the Spambot in the crew used to go and sunbathe topless on the foc's'le as it was private, the camera was on the bridge and the officer of the watch used to zoom it in on the foc's'le if there were Spambot there.

Went to another ship a few years later with a similar set-up, one of the deck officers from the first ship also transferred to this other ship and, seeing a topless barmaid on the fo'c'sle did the same thing.

What he didn't realise was that the feed from the camera on this ship went to all the passenger cabin TV's.  several passenger complaints and a lawsuit for sexual harassment later he was sacked.
