Hi SD :)

How are you? Long time, no see :D

Well, Yes. I've checked the Windows FireWall...
I dont see anything wrong, Many sites will open. but someone refuses, which is annoying.

1. You know what settings in Firwall which should be correct?
2. You know any firewall softwares?

:) I don't know so much about computers, but I read somewhere that when you have 2 firewalls (Windows and your AV program) it's best to turn one of them off, otherwise they could cause conflicts with each other.
I have switched off my Windows firewall and use the one included with my AntiVirus program.
There you should find an option which sites it can allow..  :)

Hi Captain Best, could you please attach a copy of your HOSTS file? It's possible for some STRANGE reason those websites have ended up blocked by HOSTS. Find the hosts file here: C:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\

It'll just be a blank file called 'hosts'. Please attach when you can. :)

Will this affect Firefox,opera,Safari?
Anyway, IE8 wont let me adjust the Settings on blocked area's whatever they are called.
Because I know they are safe.

Captain Best, I see you have a lot of websites blocked. What I want you to do is this:

Find the notepad icon, right click it and hit Run as Administrator. Then, go to File, Open, and go to your hosts file. I want you to delete EVERYTHING inside your hosts file and replace it with this:

Quote from: Original Hosts File
# Copyright (c) 1993-1999 Microsoft Corp.
#
# This is a sample HOSTS file used by Microsoft TCP/IP for Windows.
#
# This file contains the mappings of IP addresses to host names. Each
# entry should be kept on an individual line. The IP address should
# be placed in the first column followed by the corresponding host name.
# The IP address and the host name should be separated by at least one
# space.
#
# Additionally, comments (such as these) may be inserted on individual
# lines or following the machine name denoted by a '#' symbol.
#
# For example:
#
# 102.54.94.97 rhino.acme.com # source server
# 38.25.63.10 x.acme.com # x client host

127.0.0.1 localhost

Save it, make sure you overwrite the original. You should restart before changes take effect.

Report back to us on the situation.
