SPIRIT OF BRITAIN LAUNCHED

Sorry for the repost.


pride of dover and pride of calais are gone
and the first ship has been launched and on
Tuesday 8 of June
Spirit Of Britain finally touched the water for te first time!!
Spirit of Britain will go in service in December 2010 and
will soon be joined by her sistership Spirit of France.

Looking forward to seeing them when the come to Dover, and trying them out

The PoC/PoD are still in service for now though - they haven;t gone just yet...  ;)

The Pride of Dover/Calais arnt gone just yet, P&O plan to keep them untill
 both new ships are in servicethen plan to use the POD/C for a summer Tilbury-Zeebrugge passenger route.

I was talking about P&O, the company, not Pride of Dover/Calais.


But it also applies to GB's hopes of winning the World Cup.

Brand new and it's already covered in rust. You don't get this with hovercraft...

Mostly because they're either made of wood, aluminium or fibreglass.

Where did you hear that about? Haven;t heard anything about the PoDC going to Tilbury myself...?

on the Western side of Dover Harbour
