Kind of annoyed to have ships that rape the oceans in the game... but i guess I'll need things to ram in some eco missions ;)

Fair play to you V-STEP, you've made us very happy indeed!!!

Really...keep up the good work...I may not be able to play the game as soon as it comes out, but I certainly cannot wait for when I can!!

Very good job, very nice to me.
It's great to have some news with days...
Bridges looks great. The first bridge is wonderful to me, very intersting! There are some new elements, somehow is much more realistic feeling. Also the cahirs look much more better  ;D, it look like a real fur chair.
I would like to see the bridge of the greatest ship "OCEAN STAR"! I hope there are some new things too, because that's an luxury ocean liner, it should look wonderful and luxury on the bridge.

Tahnks for news VSTEP. Great JOB!

Kind Regards.

Ofcourse!
chairs, the plants,
and ofcourse my suggestion would be for the MS Ocean Star.
in this trailer at 0:45 till 0:51 you see the differents intrument panels.

now on the bridge of the OC there are alot of instruments wich are not funtionable instruments.
so if VSTEP could change al the non functionable instruments to functionable instruments
the oc would be alot better then it is.

Captain Mitch do you agree or disagree?

VSTEP have just released on their website some brand new screenshots of the interior of two new ships!

The first one to me appears to be the Fishing Vessel "Singita"  and the second the P6!
Looking good, thanks VSTEP!

Don't know if Titanic will be in the official copy of SSE, but maybe it would be cool to put the steam whistle rope in the bridge to blow the whistle and make the emergency telegraph operatable, and the working maneuvering telegraph. Picture below labels the emergency and maneuvering telegraphs in attach.

P.S. the picture is from Titanic's Bridge. Look at right most side of picture, you can see the port side main engine telegraph.

Oceandream!

SURE I DO agree!

There are a lot of ship instruments on the bridge of "Ocean Star", but just on the main console there are some instruments what we can use, that's not OK...
It would be great to have all those elements in!

Also it would be great to have the anchoring instrument on the birdge...

Hope the ocean star has some new elements... can't wait to see the birdge...

Kind regards.

yes, we should make the computers and everything work, so we can play minesweeper, getting tired by all this maneuvering, that's not what the game is about!

No maps on a tables, no books on the shelfs, no different signs, images, etc on the walls.

JJ still holds the #1 position in the bridge interior.
except there is only 1 instrument we can use on JJ's bridge.
the chart screen.
and alot of buttons wich also have no use in SS08  :(
Just like the bridge of the Ocean Star alot of no use able instruments.
if the new ss iscalled "Ship Simulator Extremes" we need alot of more instruments we can use.
not the same ones except enhanced with newer styles
i know about modern bridges cause ive been 4 times on bridge of a different ship.

That's the pictures of the real "Ocean Star" bridge.

It's 3 times bigger. That's how it should be...
It's very intersting bridge...

Kind regards.

Haha, yes, the last picture is.

Why do you want all instruments functionable?
To become officer you have to study a couple of years, so I am shure that you can't operate them all correctly.

Some people allready get confused when they see azipod, schottel or voith schneider controls.  :P

To me, the most important instruments are:
gyrocompass
radar (if possible with arpa)
ecdis (digital chart with gps)
depthmeter and dopplerlog
a conning screen would be nice
and maybe a Pelorus

Looks like I forgot something.
Oh yes, a cup of coffee!  ;D

Yeah, the last picture...

But still you can see from the first picture how huge is the bridge...
Well, with all these instruments we are learning... you can't know unless you start to learn!
Also a lot of instruments makes the game much more intersting...

in the very first news email in SSE, then called SS09 I think, the were talking about a conningscreen. That screen a boat in the middle and some red and green on the sides, could this be the conning screen?

GMDSS
VHF
Anemometer
Voyage Data Recorder
ARPA is a requirement on large ships
AIS
Ballast management system
Watertight integrity monitoring
Fire alarm system
Fire door control panel
telephones (internal and external

An officer of the watch has to look after all of these things at the same time as trying not to bump into anything and "can't operate them correctly" is not an option.

clanky now youre talking.

And ballast control would cool! (latitude has no crude oil so she use ballast controls to keep her prop under the water. same goes for vermaas)

That is why I say that there shouldn't be to much instruments.
It is to much for a normal person who plays the game.

I think that that would be much to difficult. Biceaus you have to know a lot about ship stability and pumping ballast takes a couple of hours.

The developers are doing a great job. They are not making it to difficult but still interesting enough.
Working winches is something I would be more happy about.
