Repairs base
« on: August 22, 2007, 18:43:31 »

Hi everyone!!

What about a repairing base? It's sad to look to your motorboat going 2 knots and having to reset. I think it would be realistic. Some mooring point where, for example, if you stay one minute tou get the boat reapired

And the chance to put more than one boat in free roaming?

"Saludos" from Spain!!!

Maybe the "drydocks" could be used for this?

Wait for the patch and you may see a regular dry dock (not a floating one..)   ;)

And what does that mean? That the repair part is already in the game and that you can repair youre boat in a submerged drydock??

Nope, you will just have the possibility to navigate your vessel into a large dry dock. I know, we need suitable tugs for that - so it's an investment into the (near) future. It's the dock, where the "QM2" is a frequent user and I really can't wait to dock the "Ocean Star" there some times... ;)  That should be done without a tug, the "QM2" normally uses one stern tug for safety reasons only.

Because there is no "Ocean Star" until now, here is the "Vermaas" ready for slip out Dock Elbe 17 in Hamburg...

She's a beautiful ship, a nice size and shape. I like that a lot! Shame we won't have her as a player ship  :(

I like the idea of having bases one hell of a lot, as I often bash up the red jet til its no longer red(as you do! ;D) and find I cant steer or something~it be nice to be able to repair her before she gets like this. Admittedly, it would steal some realsism from the game as in reality you'd have to wait quite a while, but there could some kind of device in the game, where theres another ship waiting in the port which you can just switch to?

I guess, though, that when the mission patch comes out we can make our own missions-ones with 10 of the same ship and can just keep bashing and sinking forever! ;D

thanks, Sky
