Captain Phil Harris of the Cornelia Marie

Captain Harris died in port at St Paul Island, Alaska from a massive stroke on 29 January at age 53.
He will be missed.

I'd guess his sons would take over, sad, he was one of my favorite captains in the series, certainly had a nice boat.

He was my favorite Captain in the show, Favorite boat too.

Tragedy for Cornelia Marie's crew and Phil's family. His ship was a beaut and he had a great fishing career. Rest in Peace Captain Phil Harris.

Truly a shame, I really liked him on the show, but towards the end he did have quite a bit of pain..I hope they take care of his boat, he'd want that.

correction, he died tuesday night (2/9/10) from complications of a massive stroke he had january 29th while his crew was offloading the boat, he was flown to anchorage for sugury and was recovering but must have gone wrong. he was 53, may he be missed
