Some help to a newbie here...
« on: August 17, 2007, 22:52:07 »

Hi!
I\m wondering if it`s possible to panorate around to see what`s behind you. Now I`ve only found two views, and that`s not too much...

Hi!  :)

You can look in any direction you like - just press down the right mouse button while you use the mouse.

Yes there are 3 views in SS08.

Press these numbers on your keyboard:

1 - Allows free rotation and pan around the ship. Hold down the right mouse button and move the mouse to change the view.

2 - This is the Helm position. You will appear to be the person controlling the ship from the bridge but unable to move. (You may however move the cam but your position will not move.) You can also rotate the mouse wheel to zoom in and out.

3 - The most desired and popular view as you can walk around the ships. Hold down the right mouse button and use the arrow keys to move.

Hope that helps  ;)

Does this also work on the 06- version? I only have this one so far...

And a another thing, is there any place where it´s a overview over allthe controls? The ones I found in the help-file was just a few that were quite obvious...

Yes the controls above work in the 06 version apart from number 3. Number 3 only works if you have the add-on pack for SS06.

As for your second question, do you mean you want to see a list of ALL of the controls in the game? Such things as keyboard shortcuts?

Yes, I have missed a list over the controls so if there is a list or something it would be nice...

The camera thing with numbers doesn´t work on my SS06, but the C-key switches between the two different views...

Hiya daniel666 :)

As has already been pointed out, you have to post Technical questions in the Technical Support board, plus you have posted in the Ship Sim 2006 section.

Regards.
