Excellent stuff, henry!  Very good work indeed!!

The guidelines are a tadge obsolete at the moment and it does not look like there will be any chance of introducing player made vessels into SS08. And since SSEx will be a new and different game, the specifications will chance too.

But, after SSEx is released, the development team are most likely going to evaluate the possibilities and come up with some new and updated guidelines. This will however take a while, as you can understand. In the mean time, it might still be possible to introduce models as static objects, as eyecandy, but even that takes time and effort on behalf of the development team that they simply haven't got. They're working double shifts already to get SSEx done in time.  ;D

If you want to press on anyway, you may also PM me with any specific question you may have about them. I'll do my best to answer them and make things clear if and when needed.

Again, very nice work!! I am keen to see more!

Regards,
Fred

Hi

Nice model. I have also seen this model Vs forum.
Are you making this model together with ariadne
This model seems as if made with sketch up  :) I use sometime Rhino. The ship's hull looks more smooth and realistic with rhino3d. Sorry if I'm wrong...

Henry, this is really good. The hull is fine- don't change it.

It is ALWAYS going to be possible to make a hull smoother, but this will increase the poly count and this could be an obstacle for future use. It looks really good as it is.
