Don't underestimate the V6, the power to weight of a good, prepped one is simply awesome... I'd like to do something like this (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A60foAe65SM) with it, with some EXTREME slimming down...

Like to see your Aston do that...

Without even looking at it, I can guess that it is something that no self-respecting Aston owner would want to try.

It is OK, McG. I won't hold your youth and naivety against you.

I wouldn't want that...

Cars aren;t meant to do that... :-\

Bearing in mind these cars usually race on grass...

Edit:

How's this for handling?

Metro 6R4 (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C8bO7OfUgqg&feature=related) and Renault 5 Turbo (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xt-y_2EYiow&feature=related).

I rest my case.

Quite clearly you aren't going to do that in a DB7... ::)

This isn't all that hard though. That car has probably got no weight in the nose, just like a Santa Pod drag car... That said, it appears to have a tad more power than a Mini Metro! ;D

see edit.

The 6R4 wasn't really related to the production Metro and as such Leyland used a bit of a cheat to make it qualify as a rally car. The 5turbo was a big Spambot blouse car and is laughable at best.

Okaay then, I never said the 6R4 was even remotely like the road car, but there are a lot of similarities to a Clio V6, and these cars are really about handling. Stupidly big engines are a bonus...

Everyone to their own, of course... But I'd find it hard to think of bond driving a clio...

Aston Martin DB7= £80,000, Clio V6=£25,000

Princess P42= >£500,000

and that's the smallest boat they do.

The maths doesn't really add up...

Well it's pretty much resolved now, it's June 6th 2010(we hope!)

If Vstep changes it, I'm sure this topic will be put to better use (assuming it isn't dead by then!)

And I wouldn't buy a yacht second hand, There are a lot of have-a-go nouveau riche who buy big yachts, and drive them with no experience of ship handling at all...

They wonder why the boat breaks and sell it on cheap...

Isn't an off topic post much better than pointless prattling on about items that we can not affect anyway...

Pretty much what Mr McG said, but less diplomatically put ;)

So, back to cars.

Ferrari launched their new F1 car today, and Ken Block unveiled his new WRC Fiesta recently...

I'll move this to Small Talk, where talking about non-Ship Simulator related things is less frowned upon. Because I'm so kind.

But perhaps you'd be so kind as to read this: http://80.95.161.114/shipsim/forum/index.php/topic,11578.0.html

I was about to lock my topic, (which was just a bit of a joke), when I realized I couldn't ..
How fitting to move the topic from Small Talk to Tiny Talk..
Thanks Terry, it's a perfect match..
