three questions about sinking

1. are you able to walk on board when you boat sinks?
2. how fast sinks a ship (i hope not so fast as in the bug that titanic dissapears in 5 seconds)
3.what happens if your ship is gone

i hope i will get an answer this time  ;)

I remember the early microsoft flight sim version I first bought, still have it on CD, but I need to cut my eyes out before i start it now adays.  ;)

Here's a nice site of the evolving FS http://fshistory.simflight.com/fsh/start.htm  ;)

Now imagine SS2008 is in this stage http://fshistory.simflight.com/fsh/fs2.htm

And it still has this infront of it (in comparance to the picture above ;))
http://www.microsoft.com/games/pc/flightsimulatorx.aspx

It's got a long way to go and it can't have all features we want in the second realease, FS sure didnt. Who do you think would guess that FS would have real world realistc graphics at the first beginnig. Sure people wanted that feature most likley but they could never dream that it would actually be that way ;)

Just think of what Ship Simulator might feature in 2032!  :D

We might have a whole globe to sail on and almost 100% realistic ;)

I just had a never-going-to-happen but fabulous idea  ;D

What if SS AND FS were combined? Would be cool if you could sail a air craft carrier on the north sea and pilot a F1 fighter to land on it.

Now wouldn't that be awesome! I know it would never happen but I like to imagine  ;D

I think it would be good. Your mate could fly a helicopter while you pilot PoR along the ocean and he could try landing on the Landing Pad  ;D

There could be millions of missions made too  :)

You will probably need a mod or admin to answer this and I don't think they want to give away what you can and can't do yet. More of a surprise that way anyway  ;D

I really want to know these things too! Will we be able to watch it sink? Will we get a "game over" as soon as the ship finishes sinking? Will we be able to walk around while it's sinking? And will we ever be able to take the walk around cam under the water?  :D Or is there no waterproof box to put the camera in?  :P

LOL!!

I say once the ship(s) has sunk, we get a little submarine to dive in and take a look at our rotting boat  ;D  :D

Hello,
Although fully agreeing with the "Summa cum laudae" for VStep, it is not at all true that the simulation is the first serious one on the game market of ship simulations.
Virtual Sailor and Motorboat Simulator were published before ShipSim, as well as POC Sim3D, and are nor negligible or inexistent.
Obviously, the ships of ShipSim have the best graphics, as well as the best harbor environments. Hopefully (and probably too), ShipSim will become the best simulation, but not a historical pioneer.
And also, "cum laudae" would be too much for the communication (is it PR in English?), at least patch and SDK publishing?
Regards,
Luc

Sorry for taking so long to respond, but:

.....comes from years of practice and working in the Customer Service sector ;)

...I feel your pain. CSR at an inbound call center where everyone either:
1. Wanted to sue me
2. Wanted to kill me
3. Claimed I stole their money
4. Claimed I robbed them
5. Demanded a refund (Its really fun when this involved fraud, and they hadn't payed anything in the first place)
6. Wanted to stop yelling at me and start yelling at my supervisor

Although I did enjoy some of the nasty callers, especially when they were transferred to a black hole. =)

No, not yet. It would be easy to set a date, e.g. 21st of october. It will be ready long before that date, but then we will have no complains about a delay... VSTEP tried to set a realistic date - but things changed - the mission editor was added to the release. It turned out that the patch wasn't ready for release the 17th, and now it will be relasesed as soon as possible. How long that may take is difficult say - when there is no more bugs left you can have the patch...  ;)

Kind regards

How long is your summer vacation...? I hope it is a very, very long vacation if you expect the patch to be released before it ends....  ;)   :P
