WOW that isn't computer generated, is it?

Might look for this game, look awesome. Can you roam around the WHOLE ship?

Most of it, some of it is off limits. You can get round most of it, including the Turkish Baths, the Swimming Pool, squash court, First Class reception room, dining rooms, all decks, engine rooms, Scotland Road etc etc. Both Grand Staircases (Fore and Aft) are accessible, so if the First Class smoking room. The Second Class staircase is also accessible, as are first, second and third class cabins. As said before, you can even get up into the fourth funnel. You can EVEN get to the Veranda Cafe, the Purser's Office and the bridge and wireless room! (You can even listen to and send wireless communications!)

You can either play Story mode or Tour the ship.

No matter what I try, I can't get this to run on Vista.  :'(

Will try XP.

Anyone know how to fix the error? (attached, someone else's screenie, but same problem).

PS. I have tried EVERY compatibility setting under the sun. I would set up a Win 95/ Win 98 Virtual Machine to run it on, if I had a copy of either of them.  :'(

Does Microsoft Virtual machine require you to have the original OS's? Or can it run them without the originals?

Sounds like it may be a compatibility issue, have you tried compatibility options in the shortcut properties?

I've tried all the check boxes, and compatibility modes for 95 and 98. About to try the modes for NT, XP and 2000 just in case.  ;)

I still have this game! Well, I lost the CDs again. Not to worry, they are around here somewhere...

Orinoco, can you really get into the swimming pool, dining rooms? I never could.

I'd say that in reality, only a small percentage is "explorable". That is, if you count every cabin, every hallway, and every room. It's not like you can just walk into any cabin you want. But, it's still fun!
I remember when I first played the game.. It was kind of "awe-inspiring". But, I didn't have my own computer at the time  :(  I had to bother other people to use their computers  :P

I have online friends in Canada, Argentina, Germany, Netherlands, Australia and many other places.  They all seem to say Cellphone, so I guess it is just us UK peeps that say Mobile Phone :)

Just to let you know folks, that it works in XP AND Vista!  :D

Set the compatibility to 'Windows NT', with 256 colours and 640x480 resolution, and it will work fine. Interestingly, it works better on Vista than XP.
