The Baltic Environment Campaign (An Arcipielago)
« on: December 13, 2009, 14:23:16 »

Hi here is the flowow up campain to Dover - Calais in the same enviroment!Dover - Calais in the same enviroment!

Based on this post in the cookie box on page 101-102 that will explain most of the thing.

_______________________________________________________________________________

First: I live in Sweden but spend much time in Finland mainly Hanko I have been on the pilotstation there for a whole week thats why i have the pic that i have.

Now all I have to convince you is to join the Portsmouth - Bilbao (Santcruzzi) in the same several environment(s) campaign, and you'll be OK.

Also why only enviroments form UK i'm realy hapy that Dover-Calais was added but we will need more worldwide enviroments (i don't know what will be in SSE) but the point is that we dosent have an enviroment from forexampel africa and we dosen't have arcipielagos (probeably hard to make) an city like cornwal but with an big haurbor that you would need some navigation to get to would be good.

An Exampel is Hanko, Stockholm, Turku (Ã…bo), anywere else in the world were it's an bigger port and arcipielago. :)

All the existing enviroments isn't so chalenging to navigate in mostly docking in a port then leave again most navigation is in the ports and not on the sea.

I'm not blaiming the existing enviroment because thay arew great but we need some change (atleast acording to me)

Maby this dosent belong in the cookie box but now is it here and i hope peopel will read it eaven that it's an werry long post.

__________________________________________________________________________________________

The post is a bit modified so everything about africa and so on is gone.

Also why the thing in the begining is theer is because if VSTEP wants any pic of any of the plases i can probeably fix them pretty easy.

I had some trubles writing this the comp i'm on at the moment is a bit buggy

I  will extend the list of poseibel enviroments after recuests

Then i think Estonia should be in that environment too. Then we got all Tallink ferries, Viking Line, and Silja Line :)

Maby we should close this for the moment considering this.

YOU don't need to be... Any successful campaign (sorry, I've only just seen your PM) needs to be dynamic and not the sole work of 1 person.

You need to inspire others to make the campaign work and then ensure that it is always on people's minds (or what passes for a mind for most of them!)... If your campaign is to succeed, then it needs lots of support. But just badgering vstep will not work. You have to make a case for it, such as "...vstep would sell X more copies because of YZ"

They do read the forums (or take reports from goderators and admins) but there are so many requests that your campaign needs to stick out from the others... The DCITSE certainly seems to have achieved that!

My advice would be, however, to wait for now. There is another factor for the success of DCITSE- Calais was already built, so asking for a new environment from scratch is a different matter. I would wait until SSE is released and vstep is making good sales (lets hope) before launching a campaign.

Can I please make clear that the Portsmouth-Bilbao (in loads of environments) was only a bit of a joke... and would be of limited interest to most people (except certain people who know the port, as fascinating as it is).

When/if the time is right in the future, I think something around the Baltic would be great

Hej!
In my opinion, a Baltic environment is a must! Guess we have a lot Scandinavian users und the above mentioned areas are quite impressive enough to get people from abroad inspired. Another fine environment could be the whole Öresund-Area, but it isn't as magnificent as the greater Stockholm-Aland-area is.
