Don't know about Heinken refreshing the parts other beers don't reach, but I bet the bond girl will

Bottman,
I tried speaking in my very limited German vocabulary, but as it's a travelling exhibition across all Europe (and Britain), only one person was actually German- the rest looked bemused at my German attempts; based on their language patterns, I'd say most were Eastern European such as Slovaks, Czechs and Polish (at least I can speak Polish and a bit of Hungarian)

uuhh a beer conversation, if you want to try great beer, try the faroese beer, it's really great, has won many awards, but danish beer is great too.
Btw did any of you see the new beer from Scotland Tactical Nuclear Penguin, apparently it has a volume on 32%, too high in my opinium.

Agree - but their beer is quite "scandinavic" thin, compared to others from Germany... ;)

Bottman,

I notice that you refer to Bavarians as 'them' in the same as English refer to Scottish or Welsh as 'that lot'... Is there really a pronounced rivalry between Bavaria and the rest of Germany?

BTW... I always assumed that it was Germany that first went for cold lager; but now I'm told that it is traditional to be only 5 degrees below room temperature. I noticed that people were drinking it in a more relaxed fashion than the muppets in the nearby 'spoons' who were downing their nearly-frozen Stella at X gallons per hour.

??? Also, for some odd reason, when I awoke this morning, I had QWERTY... imprinted on my forehead... Very strange  ???

Yepp, it is the same here: Germany and Bavaria - two sides of the same coin. The true promise of drinking beer in Germany means, that it has to last at least 7 minutes to fill the glass from the beer barrel. It is not that fast-beer-culture as unsual in other countries! Strange, eh!?
