In this little guide I'm going to show you how to improve you FPS' in gaming and the general performance of your PC by chaning the virtual RAM.
What is Virtual Ram?Virtual RAM is where you allocate a certain size of your hard drive as RAM (So I think).
Before we start I'm not using my gaming PC but my laptop to show you this because I've already allocated it.
Step 1.
Go To Start > Control Panel and click on System.
Step 2.
Now click on Advanced System Settings. Once it's opened click on the Advanced tab.
Step 3.
Now Click on Settings under Performance.
Step 4.
Now Click on Advanced and then Change.
Step 5.
Untick the box 'Automatically manage paging file size for all drives.
Step 6.
Select the drive you want to allocate for Virtual RAM, Then change 'System Managed File' to 'Custom Size'.
Step 7.
Now type in how many MBs you want to allocate for Virtual Ram and click. (1000mb = 1GB)
WARNING! DO NOT ALLOCATE ALL OF YOUR REMAINING SPACE, LEAVE AT LEAST 20GB OF FREE SPACE.
DO NOT ALLOCATE MORE SPACE THAN YOU HAVE ON YOUR HDD! Step 8.
Once you've entered your desired amount of Virtual RAM. Click Set. and restart your PC.
if you get an error message, sayin something like this.
Then allocate 1000mb below the mb that it says.
Once your PC has booted try one of your games to see the results. Happy Gaming! <3
