When they'll pass the 2012, this (http://science.nasa.gov/headlines/y2005/13may_2004mn4.htm) probably will be the next annoying subject.

Thanks for that link... fascinating ;D

They are sure it won't hit earth, but don't yet know which side of the sun it will pass by... :-\

Think about it... We are so unsure about its path that we don't know which side of the sun it will pass... but we are sure it won't hit earth.

Thank whichever God you believe in for Bruce Willis and his nuclear bomb...

EDIT: On the subject of asteroids, has anyone read the book 'Rendezvouz with Rama...' now THAT would be interesting
Perhaps even WM wouldn't be bored by it :o

Never mind which side of the sun, which side of the Earth will it pass by ?
Will the days become shorter or longer, and shall we need extra underwear..?

Because this indicated to me that you thought the subject less than awe-inspiring. But in the interests of avoiding offence (as if I would)

Perhaps even Saltydog, Dr Terry, Agentaustin and Chris 1 won't be bored by it :o

How's that, WM?

SD: If it were to hit the earth, it would make the day a bit shorter for most people... ;)

Possibly...

Do you remember when you were young(er) and you went to the zoo with the school (why they imply disparity...) and you could buy those fossilised dung keyrings...  :o

One wonders how many fossils are in and around the Dover Straits environment? Have you ever been to Dover? It is near Calais.

Can you spot the hidden message? Subliminal messaging... Like the Da Vinci or bible code...

Wrong, Bruce and his babe would feed on the cockroaches, and he would shoot the rats with his never-ending gun.. ;D

The rats and cockroaches would have no chance.

Though the tough man brucie was somewhat scared of flying some years ago... in case it was seized by terrorists (was this about the time of the awful DH2 joke)

I think it's pretty clear that both Sean Connery and Billy Joel would survive!

And how could be forget the tenth Doctor David Tennant!!!
