Yes :), I first saw the 1997 movie "Titanic" 10 years ago when I only was 6 years old. Then I thought Titanic was still today the BIGGEST ship ever! When I was 6 years old I had never seen such a big ship before... but 269 meters is quite tall, isn't it :)?

I LOVE that film, although there is at least one Stu....err....member who doesn't ::)

For me, the 1997 film brought Titanic to life in a way that had never been done before, you HAVE to appreciate the effort that went into that film I reckon.  I still think Titanic is the grandest ship that was ever built, not just for the size (agreed, she was huge, even by today's standards), but for the sheer passion (yes Stu, I said it again :P) that was involved with her :).

I don't believe that a ship will ever 'fire' peoples imaginations again the way she did.  I personally don't think it's even possible with today's ships ;)

That is the only reason I bought Ship Sim '06, just to see, and walk around on, Titanic ;D

Same here :), without Titanic, I don't know if I would buy Ship Simulator 2006, but I did buy it last year (2006), I was stunned when I saw the Titanic in it :o, so I had to buy it.
Ship Simulator 2008 has Titanic even better modelled in it :), Poop Deck is accessible now :).

Absolutely, she is MUCH better in 2008.  I am looking forward to see how far Vstep go with her development, seeing as a lot of people fell like we do about her ;D

I would love to see more internal area appearing, that is where the REAL fascination is for me.....walking around the internal decks/areas.  Would be like really being there all those years ago :D

Indeed :D

I'm not really interested in engine rooms and such (not yet anyway lol), initially I would just like to see, as you say, the grand staircase (I do hope that the clock is included in all it's glory ;)).  Some other areas of interest would be, 1st & 2nd class areas, plus Steerage (all in good time I guess, no point in rushing it) :D

I don't intend to be unrealistic in my wants/needs, I am aware that there are limitations, as I'm sure most of us are, but new areas would definitely improve the 'Titanic Experience'......forget development of ALL other ships.......WE WANT TITANIC :P

Only joking, but she is, and always will be, my favourite ship ;D

I'd buy it too! I'm a very big fan of the Olympic class - especially Titanic.

I can highly recommend this book:

Looks great :D.  Here is a book I bought a while ago:

Anatomy Of the Titanic (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Anatomy-Titanic-Tom-McCluskie/dp/1571451609/ref=sr_1_2/202-2658331-5029408?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1186749832&sr=1-2) by Tom McCluskie.

I didn't pay anywhere near that amount for it, but I believe it's a collector's item now ;)

Fascinating details on Titanic and the other Olympic-Class ships, and there are some great pictures in there too, like the one below ;)

Regards.
