Not to sound cliched, but what a long, strange, trip it's been.

4th day in Abidjan, haven't got malaria or been horribly murdered yet - result!

Just as well really as it looks like we will be here for some time as we need a new motor for our stern thruster, ours has been ashore to be reqound locally twice and has blown up when it was tested each time.
You know the incubation time of Malaria can last up to 6 weeks right? So who knows, you might be getting lucky without knowing it yet

We are on the anchorage of Swinousjcie, Poland, awaiting orders

I haven't gone ship spotting in ages, I need to fix my bike first. But recently I've been doing a lot of railfanning on the North Shore Scenic Railroad. I've had some great catches, and I'll catch even more of the 4-8-2 Pacific next month. I'll have my next video uploaded to YouTube by the beginning of September.

Jeez, you know how to cheer a bloke up!

Talking of getting lucky, one of our cadets seems to be determined to catch something a little more "tropical" than Malaria.  I keep telling him that West Africa is possibly not the most sensible place to be using the sevrices of the Spambot of negotiable virtue, but he goes ashore and falls in love with a new one every night!

I'm surprised he can afford to partake in such services if he's a cadet!

Maybe some soft serve or a smoothie... something nice and cold.

By the way, the sun setting here looks beautiful on the white pines! Such amazing trees. ;D

Their is just too much coverage. We usually have BBC Radio 2 on in the Office but we had to change it to radio pembrokshire where their is less coverage and some actual music.
its too much i think. once the baby is here ok we can have this news but now its too much for labour.

Fact: ostriches don't actually do that, what they do is lower their heads into tall grass so it looks like that.
