Yeah we celebrate it quite big here, on the 4th of may we remember the fallen and on the 5th we celebrate that the whole of The Netherlands got liberated.

If you mean the full stop after Mr. then it is correct. :doh: Mr. is an abbreviation for Mister so it MUST have a full stop. ::) Your school teachers cannot have been too good. :evil:

I'm not sure what PDF you read Mr. R, but it certainly wasn't the one I read! Mine just mentioned something about egg and mayonnaise sandwiches..

Yep, a WWII bomber.

That explains the Lancaster that flew over the Forest of Dean! I was working at the Dean Forest Railway's 'Thomas the tank engine' event ( :C) and it flew over, which was nice ending to the day, and then we went to a resturant by the river severn who's waiter said that it had flown over there as well.  :2thumbs: I wished my phone was a bit quicker at taking pictures so I could get a snap but...

Nope. Back in the battle of Britain, we started to run out of planes - so, to combat this problem, some very smart boffins managed to strap some engines onto the city of Lancaster and make it fly. It was then used as a heavy bomber in the war, before being retired from service and used for housing.

The people who lived on it have become known as "Lancastrians".
