Well it's kind of my fault... I don't write down notes in my notebook. But then again, There is a reason my science teacher calls me an encyclopedia...

I live on the beautiful Island of Lanzarote, that photo is from the beach which is 5 minutes walk from my house.  Winter temperatures here drop to around 20C (66F) in the winter.

@Danny, I have chaps who go down there, I generally try and avoid it as much as possible! :D

Indeed, although going from a really hot engine room to a really cold control room is also a bad idea, I always try to get the guys to keep the control room temp at around 23C when the engine room is really hot, but they usually end up winding it down as low as they can get it.

Is that the island with a volcano on ..... my mate went there this week..

All of the Canary Islands are Volcanic, Tenerife has the tallest mountian in Spain which is the Volcano of "Montaña Teide", Lanzarote has around 200 craters and the famous Timanfaya which is now dormant and the Island of El Hierro has an active Volcano which is erupting under the sea at the moment and is likely to for either another small Island or enlarge El Hierro soon.
