It would also mean that if stuart was treating you, he could have a quick snack whilst waiting on the ambulance to arrive  ;)

Marmite whilst you have a cut or other damage in your mouth? No chance... You CAN have too much of a good thing, you know... Like 10 gallons of whisky- or remember what happened when people got too close to 'God' in Raiders of the Lost Ark?

No, Marmite stings when you have a cut mouth.

Winter time in Holland. A few inches of snow, and the whole country is in chaos. Almost 700 km of traffic jams (and that in a small country like NL), trains not operating anymore etc.

We can fight the water, but it seems we cant handle this

That has REALLY surprised me. And I say this without attempt at sarcasm or humour. But I thought it was just Britain that grinds to a halt... We're told by all the newspapers that 'Europe manages, why can't we?' I must say that The only bad weather I've experienced in Europe was France and Belgium and the people there coped a lot better than us here

lol, it's just the kind of thing they would say!  ;D

I would say the DM is also obsessed with house prices (am I correct?), illegal immigration, higher taxes for the middle class and benefit spongers. Oh and the EU-bashing.

All firmly tongue-in-cheek, of course  ;)  ;D

I'm going off now for a meal and a few drinks with my other half so will be back in a couple of hours (so you don't think I'm ignoring you!)

-House prices were WAY over inflated (this isn't the cause of the financial crashes as ALL papers reported, but a SYMPTOM)
-Is ilegal immigration not a major issue that all people should be interested in? Not immigration par se, but illegal...
-At your age, you probably haven't had a lot to do with high taxes- I pay £lots both personally and professionally... And I mean LOTS
-Are benefit spoungers not a problem? Don't get me wrong, not people who genuinely need help, but those who can work but choose not to. Do you think that is acceptable?
-I think that given the amount of people here from the EU that it is unwise to discuss such things here; it is very contentious and some people still can not seperate the idea of being anti-EU with being anti Europe. I could bore you with details of how my company is swamped with EU directives, but quite frankly I don't think you will want to know and my keyboard would wear out.

However, I will grant you that the DM is becoming a 'sensational headlines' type of rag like the Express, Sun and Mirror.... Santa will come this year! PROVEN! Reindeers DO have antlers!

Who needs the underlining of headlines? That really annoys me. I think I'm going to write a letter to the DM... ;)

One thing I will say bad about the DM... The letters page... Q)Is global warming a good thing or a bad thing A)They get the usual tosh of "of course it is" or "of course it isn't"- completely predictable arguements to a completely predictable question.
