Not overly realistic though, is it.

"Half ahead number one. Slow for the rocks.. Better save the file- just in case we crash and sink"
"Oh damned splendid idea, Sir. Do you think that [laugh] ship simulators ALSO save their file every so often, just in case?"
"Oh don't be silly, number one. Simulated ships don't act so inaccurately"

Any one know how to learn all the capitals an countries in Africa. :-\

Okay now i will try to explain everything.

First: I live in Sweden but spend much time in Finland mainly Hanko I have been on the pilotstation there for a whole week thats why i have the pic that i have.

Second We will have a test on Africa and all the capitals and TJK is right about the scool system here in sweden. also this test is pretty importandt.

Third We can chose what languige apart form english we will learn and at the moment it's only german, frace and spanish but they are going to add languiges like chinese.

This can be accomplished in four steps.
1. Open book containing all the names of the capitals and countries(?) in Africa
2. Learn all the names of the capitals and countries(?) in Africa
3. Close book containing all the names of the capitals and countries(?) in Africa
4. Help self to jar of Cookies.

I have found these steps very effective in memorising all the names of the capitals and countries(?) in Africa.
However, I sometimes have slight problems with step 2...

Thanks for the tip but i found an great prorame for training tis so now I know all the countries and capitals. :)

Now all I have to convince you is to join the Portsmouth - Bilbao (Santcruzzi) in the same several environment(s) campaign, and you'll be OK.

Also why only enviroments form UK i'm realy hapy that Dover-Calais was added but we will need more worldwide enviroments (i don't know what will be in SSE) but the point is that we dosent have an enviroment from forexampel africa and we dosen't have arcipielagos (probeably hard to make) an city like cornwal but with an big haurbor that you would need some navigation to get to would be good.

An Exampel is Hanko, Stockholm, Turku (Ã…bo), anywere else in the world were it's an bigger port and arcipielago. :)

All the existing enviroments isn't so chalenging to navigate in mostly docking in a port then leave again most navigation is in the ports and not on the sea.

I'm not blaiming the existing enviroment because thay arew great but we need some change (atleast acording to me)

Maby this dosent belong in the cookie box but now is it here and i hope peopel will read it eaven that it's an werry long post.

I wasn't actually serious about the PBISE campaign!

But, ahem, Bilbao is actually in Spain, not Britain.

But on a serious point, isn't it quite normal to focus on your own country? For example, many Americans here are quite enthusiastic for every US port to be modelled. Don't take it offensively- if you start a Danish/Swedish route campaign, I will join  ;)

How about Helsinki-Stockholm...

Then we could have the magnificent MS Mariella (with a repaint, the model could then become the MV PoBilbao... ready for PBISE) :D

As long as it has the ex-Wartsila shipyards (then we can have a good excuse for the 2nd ship of the Mariella CF class)!

I could start an campain but i'm not saying that it must be an baltic port/city just an arcipielago and an major port and the thing i'm nearest to is the baltic so i know that best.

Also I dosen't know anywere else on the globe that can match stockholm's arcipielago (big port hardly navigated and much trafic)

Also an Big enviroment like Stockholm Helsinki would be to big for the game.

Hanko would match bether hard to navigate on some parts 3 smaler prots for ships like AS and an big port for ships like PoR also finlands biggest guest haurbor

The Wärtsilä shipyard did go bancrupt in 1992-1993 or something around that.

PS I know that Bilbao is in Spain and i eaven have plans to go there. ;)

Wartsila shipyard went broke, but wartsila diesel is still going strong, although under the much easier to pronounce M.A.N... A shame... Just like Paxman diesels- MAN gets them all in the end.

I sailed with a medium speed Wartsila SL20 and a Warsila 9R 32D, beautiful engines  ;D Much better than those high speed Caterpillars which they also tend to build in shovels. I also sailed with a CAT 3516B, just sounded like a turbo charged vacuum cleaner. No fun in that!

Edit: typo

A marine version of a Gardner 8LX is a pretty good motor for a small boat too...  ;D

Gotta go run to NAPA tomorrow and pick up $150 worth of batteries for my truck.
