21 knots wow thats decent for that size of a  boat with that size of an engine, Sadly the yachts officially for sale at 1.8million  :-\ The fun lasted while it did She goes 24 knots but then again she has two 1015hp Cat C-18's So She should go a decent speed ::)

Jack I know your pain of loosing a boat, First our old speedboat, a 32foot baja with two 454hp chevy big blocks ;)  She cruised at 79MPH so about 120kph

Now the yacht that was "unofficially" ours  :'(

What's wrong with sailing yachts?  :o I have to admit to quite liking the sound of a boat like Jacks- something to avoid having to travel PO/SeaChance...   :D

Although you just can't beat coming out of port, throwing up the sail and then switching the engine off... Just the sound of water, wind, seagulls and- usually- me shouting "set the 'blasted' sail properly" >:( So peaceful... Just too slow

We should change topic name to "Stuart and Jack's Marine chatter"

And Matt, Very sorry to hear about that - I know how you feel.

Jack
p.s. If you're interested in the boat, We're on about selling it and getting another one that's caught dad's eye at the marina...near the end of this year...possibly :P (But we're still thinking about it - Dad's reluctant to get rid of this one, it is a good boat)

It makes a change from me doing or saying something contraversial, doesn't it?  ;D

Actually, we SHOULD have a thread about sailing perhaps... I'm still thinking about a motor vessel... Perhaps the QE2 is still available.

I thought we wanted to preserve the QE2 though, not have her sailed into some lighthouse by Stuart, which is what will undoubtably happen
