Did you use the TRMA guide to compare this to? What about Peter Davies Garner's "Titanic: a model maker's guide"?

Shane, if the model is done - it's too late to talk about that. ;)

I don't think that was really ever in reach anyway.  :P

Hi Lama, wazup?  Typing from iTouch before the battery go out. :P

I'm 100% ready for RMS to show his Titanic!  Got 8 sunglasses, bought 4 packs of Popcorn, cold beer, invited friends, etc. Sitting, waiting...            Like we say:

Hi Firestar,

No, I did not use "Titanic: a Model Maker's Guide".  I used the pictures on the box for referance and a painting guide that came with the model along with the instruction manual.

To everybody, I will upload the pictures today, so please be paitent  :)

Hmm  That doesn't sound to me that the model went out accurate & realistic as possible.  False hopes as usual. :-\

But we shall see it anyway! :2thumbs:

I remember seeing that somewhere online actually. That model type. May I ask, was it a complete kit? What was supplied?

Just curious, being a bit of a Model Boat nut myself!

I mean as in, what pieces came with the kit? Like, Was it just main sections, or were all the rails and other bits seperate bits you had to buy yourself? Paint etc?

Oh no, it came with all the parts.  The only things it didn't include was the glue and paints.

Good stuff. I've got a model of the Titanic myself, I got it for my 7th Birthday (Long time ago!), looking a little bit neglected now, but it was nothing special, looks nothing like Titanic in my opinion, but it kept me happy for several months after I got it!

Now that I've finished my model, I have to get a shelf put up in my room to put it on.

Haha! Yeah, finding somewhere to put a model is a problem. I've got Hibernia sat on my dressing table just in front of my bedroom window. She looks really nice there. Except, I have to close the curtains when the sun comes round, so's not to make the paint fade. That wouldn't be good!

Good luck with it anyway! And congrats!

Jack ;D

The only place I could put my Titanic model would be on a shelf above my computer; the problem is that space is occupied by my USS Interpid model and the other stuff that I have on the same shelf like a printer for my computer, speakers, etc.

Nice...but....the funnels look far to orange compared to some White Star Buff footage I have seen, and even thought the light can distort a color, I don't think it was THAT orange.
