"Vacation" Pics (56k Warning)
« on: August 02, 2009, 20:13:15 »

While I was gone my cousin from the east coast came out here and we pretty much had an entire week in downtown seattle. We went on two boat rides, and went to the Fremont Locks.

Cool part about these locks is it goes from fresh water to salt water, so it has some advanced features on the bottom since salt water is heavier then fresh water it sinks. They also have the dam off to the side with the fish ladders.

Pics:

Space Needle (this pic looks nice in B&W)

One of the 3 "doors" on the larger of the two locks.

The Western Titan followed by the Gulf Titan

Good Time III

A nice yacht we wanted to jump on

Of course it doesn't come without a helicopter and a speed boat.

Kenmore Air

Argosy Flag on the bow (we had the entire vessel to ourselves)

Life Ring

Kenmore Air

Push Boat, even though I have never seen any barges in lake washington.

Yep, I got to see about 10 of them take off and land, would really love to fly with them someday, I also got to learn a little about water take offs, ALL vessels have the right of way, so about 5 of them had to abort take off and try again.
