First, make sure you register your lisence key in your profile, if you've bought SS (Which I assume you have ).

Also, New Horizons is worth Getting, if you haven't got it, it's like an expansion off Ship Sim. You can look at all this at www.shipsim.com

You can't download boats like viritual seiler, but you can get higly quality boats/ships here http://www.shipsim.com/shipyard/shipyard.php and they cost a bit,and it's one free one in you profile, Jumbo Javelin if you have registered you cd/dvd key in you forum profile, scroll down to the botom and you find it
