Going to France for 5 days.
« on: July 09, 2009, 20:19:49 »

Hi guys,

I'm going to be going to France for 5 days! I'll be gone from 12:00 tonight, and I'll be back in around 5 days. I'm also going to be visiting the bridge of the ship that I'm travelling on, and I'll make sure I get plenty of pictures!

Bon Voyage!

Jack ;D

Enjoy your trip matey - have fun and return with loads of pictures! Make sure you get some good pics of the bridge instruments! :)

Must be exciting travelling at this time of night - I remember travelling to holland when we went on tour with the band, left on a coach at 12am. Felt a bit odd but was an experience!

Have a good time, Jack  ;D

I've forgotten how to speak French since I left my public school and gradulated into the high school.

Hi guys!

Well, I'm back! (as you can see)

I had a brilliant time, I haven't enjoyed myself so much in ages. I got to go on two Ferries, the Mont St Michel, and the MV Normandie - I also got to go on BOTH bridges, which I was extremely pleased about. I have to say though, I've never been to Portsmouth...it's so busy! :o

I saw the Hovercraft from Ship Simulator (Will post all my pictures in a moment, they are uploading). Several Navy ships, including an aircraft carrier. I also saw the SD Powerful, which I was quite pleased about, since I had read previously about it, and liked it. As well as seeing many RC, and scale models.

The Holiday itself was very good too, I bought several bits of stuff, some local, some from St Malo. I bought a minature trawler, and some other things, such as a small detailed little dinghy, just to sit next to my tug Hibernia for display.

Uploading my images now! - Will post in a mo!

Jack ;D

Hi Matt,

First set of pictures ;D:

I wrote into Brittany Ferries, after Captain Eccles of the Stena Leader advised that whenever I travel on board a ship/ferry, just to ask them, and mention that I have been aboard the Stena Leader, and that I want to go into the Merchant Navy. If they say no, they say no. But so far, I've been allowed on all the bridges! ;D

Photo's of the bridges coming up...
