Hmm. Interesting,

I know that I have found a recording of the engine in my Old Ship Project the Sabino. ;)

Lovely...I love old boats. I'd love to go and see the Furie "In the Flesh" some day.

Thanks for posting!

Pretty awesome how those engineers from back when they built the engine, knew what the game would sound like.  :2thumbs:

SS Furie has these engines because she was built in 1916, years of the steam engine. So I bet Titanic had a louder and lower sound of her engines. I saw a Ship Sim 08 vid of Furie having the almost exact same sound.

Aren't they supposed to use real recordings anyway, if possible? ???

I don't see why it would not be possible, Furie is in Rotterdam, so is VSTEP.

Where did you get that idea from? supposed? ? Who supposes that?

It's a simulation, not a tape recorder...

Because the guide for adding a new vessel calls for real recordings if possible.

Why do you care so much anyway.  I mean, I agree that it would be nice to know that you are actually hearing the sounds of the real engine, but... :-\

That is so that the developers have something to compare the sound simulation against. It isn't actually used in Ship Simulator.
