I have a problem with my 2006 chaparral boat the gel coat is becoming oxidized and i have no idea how to get rid of it. I have tried a liquid wax and still no results. So does anybody know how to fix it

The Best way to pretty boat is to take good care of your boat at all times...

Can you explain in a little bit more detail what it is that you are attempting to do to your Gel-Coat.  Are you trying to remove it and apply new? or just repair the damage?

repair it but its only the colored part that is oxidizing. I've taken care of it but the guy at the dealer says it just happens

Try contacting the Chaparral help line. Sometimes that can be worthwhile. Although most of the time not...

You can try some rubbing compound on an inconspicuous area and if that brings it back you can do the entire colored area and when you've finished clean it real well and apply a good wax. My 1974 Wellcraft Nova was a rich root beer brown new but now looks more like pale chocolate milk. I used rubbing compound on a small area and it brought it back pretty well. I didn't do the rest of the boat because I decided to change the color.

Well what is it a stain you would like to remove, mildew or what? if your more specific I may be able to help as I clean boats

its discoloration of the gel coat it used to be a bright red but i lost its luster

My boat too has red trim and I have used a recommended cleaning product for all Larson boats to keep the details shiny and keep that yellowing effect off the hull.  For anyone who needs to combat that yellowing I've found that applying the cleaner and then facing the side of the boat into the sun really does the trick.

hmmm red gelcoat....never dealt with that before hmmmmmmm well on the white, fiberglass gel coat I use
a type of wash wax mix so try that, works brilliantly
Discolered I cant really help you with because in my case its never "discolored" since it is white, I use black streak remover on the vessels I wash, mildew remover and good ol wax. THat usually keeps her spiffy
I know there is a product called lacquer thinner that friends use for extreme stains and stuff so you could try some research on that
