Depends on what kind of laptop you want. if you want an everday, just for internet, kind of laptop, go tell or HP. If you want a gaming laptop, go Alienware or Asus.

capn_cal,

Damiant is winding you up. Take no notice of him. Most of todays laptops will be able to handle what you require, just go for the higher end laptops, instead of the £299 laptops you see around. They will play the games, but only just.

Damiant - come on mate, you can see capn_cal is not knowledgable in this area, please stop being patronising.

For a laptop? It's not bad, although my partners laptop has 3GB of RAM so I would recommend getting something a bit better if possible.

Damiant - No problem with a little sarcasm when used in the right place, but sometimes you have to think if it will be the right time to do so ;)

It won't be very useful because of it's operating system, a lot of games wont work on a mac, fore example Ship Simulator, unless you run bootcamp on it.

Currently my laptop beats out my computer for speed, but my laptop heats up so fast that I prefer to use my computer. :-\

Good point, if you are going for a gaming PC, Capn, then I think it would be better if you probably got a desktop, laptops are not designed like a desktop. ;)

You can get a laptop for gaming, but it is not guaranteed to give the best performance.
