J.J. controls

What does the circle-shaped throtle in J.J. do ? Not the bow thruster or the throtle or steering wheels.
Is it the crane controls? If not what is it ?

It is a Azimuth pod. It controls a Azimuth propeller to turn in a 360 degree circle. It is like a booster, or a third propeller, or a stern thruster.
