Is this not just a spam bot? In any case, it's in clear violation of the English-only rule.

It sure doesn't aply to the "English-only"-rule. However, i think this person posted in an Asian language, wich most of us, haven't installed, so we only see this strange signes. ;)

Ok, but this exempts them from the rules how? Does anyone here speak Mandarin? I'm still banking on a spam bot.

Well, since China is a fair few miles away, you might well find that it is in a different time zone to Canada... It is 9pm here so if I make a post in 3 hrs 15 minutes I can post on 2nd Aug, whilst you will still be on 1st Aug. Simple...

The Chinese characters this guy typed are Simplified Chinese.  Usually used in PRC(People's Republic of China) or so called Communist China or Red China.  We use Traditional Chinese here in Taiwan.

Yes, only one timezone in China.  Their time is UTC+8.
