ALSO VISIT OUR COMMUNITY'S FANSITES AND -FORUMS!
« on: April 25, 2009, 14:41:57 »

Hello everyone,

Many of our community members have made great efforts to create a variety of Ship Simulator related Fan websites and forums! A lot of them use their 'Clan' to add an extra dimension to their enjoyment of the game.

In this topic, we like to offer you the chance to promote your website or forum, as a thank you for putting in the time and effort to offer our members this additional fun!!

If you wish to be included, please PM me with an application. There are of course certain requirements, but we will take that up in personal messages for each individual request.

Regards,
Fred

MULTIPLAYER SHIP SIMMERS

Multiplayer Ship Simmers, or MPSS for short was the first and is the largest Ship Simulator clan. We have been running for over a year after our dear friend DJM founded it. The clan is now in the hands of Captain Spencer as the administrator and Global Moderators Master Captain and ShipAddict help run the forum. We try our hardest to have regular clan meetings and we will always welcome new members. With SS2010 on the horizon we hope for a big boom in the multiplayer side of things, so come join us and help us develop this wonderful clan! - The MPSS Team www.mpssclan.co.uk/forum (http://www.mpssclan.co.uk/forum)

THE CREATORS FORUM

Creators Forum is operated by many of the Administrators, Moderators and CMMs of this Ship Simulator Forum.

The purpose of the site is to offer various supporting functions to the Ship Simulator Forum (this one!). As of today, there are 350 active members of the Forum, with over 100 missions and many updates and add-ons that are not available elsewhere.

The site is safe.
  • It is hosted by me, Terry Russell on my own servers
  • Membership is entirely free
  • The site is advert-free
  • No banner ads
  • No cookies

By joining Creators Forum, you can
  • download any of the missions there. (many of them not available elsewhere)
  • download improved vessel dynamics, not available elsewhere
  • download improved ship controls, dials and gauges not available elsewhere
  • download complete logistical manuals for certain ships not available elsewhere

You can become a member in seconds. Simply visit the site and follow the joining instructions. Your password details will be given to you straight away.

We ask that you provide feedback to the creators of the missions or updates that you download, via the rating system. This takes just a few seconds. It also enables you to directly influence the creation of new missions.

If you wish to make your own missions, you can apply to become a Creator very simply. You'll find that your fellow creators are a very helpful set of people! Becoming a Creator allows you to upload your own missions for testing and to communicate with other creators. If you then wish to upload the missions to the CMMs on this Forum via the in-game submission process, the CMMs will already be aware of it, which may help speed your mission through the acceptance process.

Simply click on the link in my signature below to get to Creators Forum.

BLUE STAR LINE

Blue Star Line
.....divine service every time!
BSL, like any other SS company, is just a community that is trying to basically make the simulation better for ourselves. The company servers help out with that. All of our members agree that the simulation is better if it seems like when your on MP, aiming at a certain objective, which is what we do, it almost seems that your serving a purpose, like real ship captains do, whether it be transporting cargo, passengers(ferry/cruise ship), or tugging a ship to port. Blue Star Line is just like an ordinary, real life company, but virtual. We welcome all Ship Simulator lovers, 3D Modellers,  and VS Enthusiasts as well

We now host a full arcade for members to use aswell, so hop on over, register an account and play some games, and be part of both the gaming and nautical fun that is BSL! We are still growing and more area's of our forum are yet to come, and i am wide open to suggestions!

If you have some suggestions, drop me a PM and i'll look into it!

I am aslo hoping to soon open up a few different language categories on the BSL forum.

Here is the link to our forum:

I hope to see you soon at BSL!
Sincerely,
The Blue Star Line Staff

http://vikingtugcompany.smfforfree3.com/

VTC came about through online Multiplayer, similar to IJTS. I started to make a name for myself tugging around Rotterdam, and Viking Tug Company was formed in September 2009.

Since then we have gone from strength to strength as the months carried on, and althought we may not be the biggest or the most well know 'clan', we still have plenty to make 'a song and dance' about!

Since TJK joined the team we have been able to host our own multiplayer servers, which run all day, everyday, giving you the convenience to suit yourself rather than fit around us. These servers are proving rather popular.
Dont have New Horizons? Dont worry we have a server set up especially for you!
At present our servers are the only place to enjoy the new xmas super pack's Selsey II

We just dont have our own servers, we have VTC exclusive custom missions for our members to download from the forum! At present we have 7 custom missions for you to enjoy, with more on its way. We even have a section for you to tell us what missions YOU want to play!

We are growing everyday, so why not join us for some great benefits and treats, after all whats the point in creating a forum and not rewarding its loyal fanbase?  ;D

So go ahead and join us by clicking the link at the top

Remember its you lot that keep us afloat

Ship Sim Radio!
« Reply #6 on: February 21, 2010, 11:44:19 »

Welcome to Ship Sim Radio!

Run by (currently) 6 presenters, Ship Sim Radio has become a big hit with those who listen, and with it’s success, we hoped that we could broaden our audience to the general Ship Sim Community; as much work is put into the radio itself - be it the website, the forum, or the broadcasting itself!!

For a vast period of time, the Radio has mainly resided at IJTS (www.ijts.co.uk); however, we are all very confident now, as presenters, and feel that we can bring  you the quality that you deserve, as the listeners! And the ones who make it worth it!!

So, Who is Ship Sim Radio run by?

Ship Sim Radio is currently run by 6 members, all of which are members of the Ship Sim community ‘at home’, so to speak!

Gareth Edwards
Mark Ervine
Jack O’Leary
Jake Spindloe
Oliver Whitely
Matthew Brown

So…Since this is a radio, and you’re broadcasting music which is obviously copyright; do you have a licence? And have V-STEP approved you?

Yes. Ship Sim Radio has a licence which was kindly funded by the Creators Forum! - Ship Sim Radio also faced rigorous ‘testing’ by V-STEP, and, was approved with flying colours! - Since V-STEP approved the radio, it has also grown, and everyone who broadcasts has gained confidence! - So we hope now, that we can deliver a professional, clean show, to all listeners.

Are there different shows? Or does every presenter broadcast the same sort of music?

Certainly not my friends…Ship Sim Radio is extremely diverse in the music it plays, and each presenter has their own particular show. These range from Country N Irish, to Electronic 80’s…to even to the Spanish themed show, Siesta a fiesta!!

Where can I find more information about show times? And any other questions that I have?

You can find most (If not all!) info, including a time table for the week (Which is updated every 7 days), at www.shipsimradio.com; Radio presenters are also willing to answer any questions which you may have, too!

I’m still not convinced…Where’s the proof!

If you still aren’t convinced about our radio station, here is some user feedback kindly given to us by Mike (Aka, ShipAddict), who runs the monthly magazine, and has taken a great interest in the radio.

‘ShipSim Radio has given me many hours of entertainment, right from the beginning when I listened to After Dark with LV to now, where I listen to Mark, Jake, Oliver, Matt, Jack and sometimes Gareth. The shows are varied and it’s great to be able to hear music from different people with different personalities. The radio really has gone from strength to strength since first being founded, and it’s a credit to those who play a part in it!’

We hope that you’ll have a great time listening to our shows, and that you’ll enjoy listening just as much, if not more, than what we enjoy broadcasting to you!!

Kind Regards,
The Ship Sim Radio Team
