Something a bit different...
« on: April 09, 2009, 00:45:28 »

Hi everyone!

Before you all wonder why this topic is here, I just thought I'd share with you one of my hobbies that I do when I get a couple of bookings come in.

I provide a mobile disco service in my local area for birthday parties, rave nights and childrens discos. I've attached some photos of some recent discos I've done and some of the equipment I use. I am also in the process of uploading a couple of videos of some new lights I've recently added to the setup at the moment so stay tuned!  ;D

If you want any information or some pictures of the equipment used please post and I'll see what I can do :)

Picture one: Pair of 200w 15" Speakers

Picture two: DMX Lighting Controller which control the colour, position and shape of the scanner disco lights

Picture three: Twin CD player and 5 channel pro club mixer in a wooden carpet covered flightcase

More pictures and videos to come! :)

Hi Tore,

I have already made some money out of doing mobile discos and I really do enjoy doing it. It makes me happy to think I have provided a service which the customer was very happy with. At the end of the day, the aim of the whole thing is to make people enjoy themselves.

Cheers,
Adam

Right, time for a video!  ;D

I programmed the light show from scratch so I hope it's worth it. It did look good when I did a disco I have to admit

Hi Tore,

Thanks for your comments. I do hope to get another pair of scanners so that I can cross even more beams and provide a more impressive light show.

By the way, I have uploaded a video to my hosting website of my most recent disco.

You can find it by clicking here (http://www.silverlinehosting.co.uk/Disco/februarydisco.wmv).

Seems this kids have fun Adam and this lights are weary good, yea definitive on a disco here. You don't need so mush more here, but i agree with you 2 or tree more light scanners or Lazar light and "strobe lights" ( not sure thats correct) heavy blinking light had been popular i think, nise video

Well I do have a strobe light but it's not very effective and most people don't like strobe lights much anymore in childrens discos.

Thanks for your kind words too. I hope some other people can comment too because I'm always open to contructive critism :)
