Lets work this out...

Salt water will be more dense, and will thus need less water displaced for the mass, meaning the vessel will be higher, with a smaller draft, meaning more likely to tip over...

Here is my theory of how higher up ships are in the three different waters.
Control (Open Sea water):

Fresh water (Titanic is a bit higher):

and Salt water from Dead Sea:

For the last one, if Titanic sank in the Dead Sea, she would just keep floating. Picture a car crashing into the Dead, and floats across it

It depends on the temperature - warm (Salty) water is less dense

The density of sea water is generally taken as 1025 kg/m³, were fresh water is 1000 kg/m³, as TFM says it varies slightly with temperature, but not enough to matter in terms of draught.

If you look at a ships draught marks there are separate marks for fresh water and sea water as ships loading in fresh water are allowed to load a little deeper knowing that they will rise a little when they get to sea.

i dont know how i did this but i got a small swimming pool and filled it with watter and ALOT OF SALT i mean alot of salt and i could stand in the water it was cool and i showd my freinds and now they think im magic
