Judging by the flag, I would guess a British warship..Can't make out what the structure behind the funnels is..

Hoy,
Well, in the 1920's,traveling by cruiseliner was not very comfortable.I mean not the food or something, however the movement of the ship was not pleasant for the passengers.

An italian bureau designed and putted a tool(instrument) on the ship,to keep the ship very much more steady.

What was that tool(instrument)

Regards

They putted it in the bow, however you can put it everywere on the ship.
Best down in the ship,it was quit big at that time, and they used 3 of them.

Also not.

In the 1920's,i think there was no azimuth.

They used it on a cruiseliner,no cruiseship. To keep the ship as level as possible with high seas. The tool itself exist from about 1908.
I think your better "google".
They build 3 of these tools(instruments)in that ship.
If i give more hints,i better tell it than.
At noon,you get it.
