What are the two submarines that were lost but one was founded by Robert Ballard, who worked on searching for Titanic?

Here is a post from Mad_Fred that gives more details:
http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,938.msg117054.html#msg117054 (http://www.shipsim.com/ShipSimForum/index.php/topic,938.msg117054.html#msg117054)
I’ll add that the cover story was that R/V Knorr spent the whole time out of WHOI searching for Titanic. After Ballard finished his Navy duties (He held a reserve commission, and the Navy paid for his toys), he found Titanic in a relatively short time.

OK, continuing on the same theme, same owners, name of this ferry built 1942

Clue:

South West of Englnad.

A traditional carvel passenger boat was built in 1947 by Dixons of Exmouth. She is the longest running original passenger boat in Torbay which is still in service.

Special prize for getting all three ferries!!
