That looks like the Scripps ship Flip.

She was built here in Oregon by Gunderson.
Nice thing about her is that you don’t get seasick on her—after that first wild maneuver.

HMS Bounty is at the bottom of Bounty Bay, Pitcairn Island.

Hint: She is a much older cousin to FLIP.

Ha! Strange, in the book it says that they had burned her there.

That’s why she is on the bottom. They have raised one of her iron anchors—I saw it in their little museum on the Island. It is also featured on one of their postage stamps.

The wooden sailing ship FW Scripps burned and sank in Papeete harbor, Tahiti.


I can’t tell which shearlegs that is. Probanly one of Smit's
