What's the name of this freighter* and where was it built?

*It has a sister but this one is British flagged, so you can tell the difference.

That would make it "Norbay" and Van der Giessen-de Noord B.V. at Krimpen a/d Ijssel.

Patrick

Harder one - name this ship and explain why she was sailing on this service from Hull.

That's Viking Lines "Viking 6" on charter to cover for the Norland, which had been sent to the Falklands war. She was later replaced by the Irish Ferries "Saint Patrick (2?)".

Well, Mike, looks like you've found that photo...
Indeed, Diamond Princess at the background in Skagway...

Probably, your turn then.

OK, what is the name of this famous liner, her 3 previous names and her 2 subsequent ones?

She is certainly Canadian Pacific S.S.Co. you can see it from her house flag at the main masthead.

OK Mike,
First name "Prinz Friedrich Wilhelm" handed into UK owner ship as War reparation. Renamed "Empress of China", then "Empress of India". Later names "Monteith" and then "Montnairn".
Cor, what a history. :o

"C.F.S. Monteanuliot" or something like that is written on the photo...

Ferry Man, where are you? What's the name of this train ferry?

I am here!

I have been out today, on a... guess what... Ferry!

With the nice weather decided to pop over... I apologise for my Non-hereness from last night, I was starting designing a mission with the Ocean Star.

I am currently looking for your train ferry though  :)

All a bit before my time :) - maybe the "H" is an "R" so let's try "Craftsman".

That's me off now for a few days in Northern Holland, sailing on "Pride of Rotterdam" from Hull tomorrow evening, see you all on Sunday folks :)
