I just saw a cool picture of the Titanic all lit up at night, and I was just wondering how do I light up the Titanic in Ship Simulator 2008 New Horizons? :) I think it would be so awesome.

Hello Casey19425, welcome to the forum!!

There are a few people creating alternative lighting for some of the ships. By default, you cannot turn them on in the game. So it's not a feature in New Horizons, unfortunatly.

I think I saw one picture of a nicely lit titanic, but as far as I know, this was just a fake. A photoshopped screenshot.

Though I think our member RMS Gigantic is working on a 'mod' for the Titanic's lighting. But I do not think this was completed yet.

Regards,
Fred

Of course normal navigation lights come on at dusk, or does titanic not have any default lights at all?

^ Yep, that was photoshopped, pretty decent IMO, although not all the lights were aligned, and the reflection was pretty bad, but still...

I think Titanic's stacks weren't lit up but illuminated by the lights from the structure below them.

That is correct Matt, there were no lights illuminating Titanic's funnels as shown in the 1997 Titanic.

Looking on the second image I'm doubt about which Titanic it is - from VS or from SS?
Nope, it is SS08. It is possible to sink like that. Search the forum for the 'Anchor trick'. ;)

that ain't a sinkins ss08 titanic. look at the rudder. SS08 titanic's rudder is smaller and black.

Wait. You must look at the right angle to make the rudder look regular sized. And in this case, looking at titanic's stern when sinking.

As far as I know, some members are currently working on something now (Lights for Titanic) ;)

So far, they've made Lights for, Latitude, Pride Of Rotterdam, and a few other vessels.

I'll see if I can find a link for you ;)

Hi A|A,
Nice pic. Where did you get it? It looks familiar—especially in the spot where I edited it to remove irrelevant text.

It is actually from the archives of Harland & Wolff.
