Hi Roger,

Below the box where you enter your post there is “Additional Options” in blue. Click it.
Click the Browse… button and go to where you have the picture on your computer.

You first should use Paint or another graphics editor to adjust the picture size, if necessary, and save it as a JPEG file on your computer.
(In-game screenshots usually don’t require this, they are .jpg files of modest size.) As Angus will say.

You find the Pictures folder in your Documents under ShipSim2008 UserData.

Regards,
Marty

Hi Roger,
Further to Marty's post, if you take a picture in game using the "take photo" button at the bottom of the screen, you will then find your picture in the "ShipSim2008UserData" file in your own documents list. The picture is in a size which is OK to post direct using the method Marty describes.
Best wishes,
Angus.

Sorry, Marty, you beat me to it with your update.

Hi,

      Senior Moment again!!

Sorry being dim like a 25 watt bulb  i have found the pictures ok but can you explain how i post them,

I make a new post, write a comment about the picture, click on Additional Options, hit Browse and go to the picture i wish to post, note the number so i know which one, it appears in the Attach line, but i can't get it to show in the Preview to make sure all is ok, clicking on the Insert Image brings up the [img] which i used with Photobucket but i'm lost,

Could someone help an old seadog please!

       Thanks,

        Roger.

Hiya :)

You can't see the attachment in preview mode ;)

The image button only works if you have the link to the pic on photobucket :)

Code: [Select]

If i understand it right, you add the code from Photobucket (that ends with .jpg) in the addiotional options menu?

If you attach a file with the attach option of the forum, you have the browse the location of the picture on your computer. So no need to upload it via photobucket.

If you do upload it via photobucket, you get a code that ends with .jpg. If you want to post it that way you use thise code

Code: [Select]

Ahoy Roger,
The uploaded image will NOT show up in preview, but only if you hit the 'Post' button, therefore you must be sure you have browsed the good picture. If you uploaded the wrong picture, just hit the ''Modify' button and correct your error. Only then you have to hit the 'Save' button.
Hope that will bring up some additional 75 watt into your light bulb.
Regards
Aad

Hi Roger,
What I do is attach the picture, then post and THEN see if it is showing. Often I have posted the wrong picture, but then I just wipe it off, (As shown how in "additional options") This only takes a few seconds and one can rectify any problem before anyone has a chance to see the post. I'm the world's best at making boo-boos. ::)

Angus.

I see Aad has beaten me to it, I not only make boo-boos but I'm slow too. :-[

Hi to you all and thanks for the quick response,

Yup i understand now why i could not see the picture in preview and thought that it may have shown up by hitting post! but did'nt want to make a mistake, Oh well i will give it a go ,

I enjoyed posting pictures and seeing other folks work in a Flight Sim site i use, it also made an interesting way of looking at the sim and made for some great pictures,

    Cheers,

    Roger.

PS , well that was easy posting pictures, all i have to do now is be selective!!, thanks lads.
