Hmmm.... Interesting subject this. I'm glad you've re-opened it, Jack.

This talk of parallel universes- there was a theory from a chap named deSitter- who theorised that there were parallel universes and if there were different energy densities (or something technical like that) then one would 'leak' into another- in the same way that water pools will all come to the same level.

I'm sure that Dr Terry & others will have some useful comments about this... I can't make sense of Prof. Hawkins books.

Most blacholes are found in the center of a galaxy. Andromeda and the Milky Way got blackholes for a center focal point.

Well, they say there is a blackhole in the middle of the Milky Way galaxy, but they also say that a moment that happens ever 25,800 years where the earth goes to the center of the galaxy, and that's in 2012!!!!  
probably nonsense, but still, the scientests whouldn't lie... right? but there is also a massive solar storm predicted, and there is a hole in earth's shield from solar flares. ALSO there are alot of predictions of WWIII, and the mayan calender ends in 2012...  am I really thinking this stuff is real?  

The Earth's Shield from Magnetic Flares is the Earth's magnetic Field, and there isn't any holes in it that I am aware of, so no real fear there, although a really strong one could penetrate a bit...


Also, the Earth Orbit's the Galactic Core, and thus goes around the black hole, and not through, and we are about 2/3 of the way out, so that is a long way, no fears there...

do they hit with the same concentration though? Personally, I think the news hype about it was ridiculous, for the reason you state.

... That said, do Higs Bosun particles hit the earth often???

I think a lot do hit, not sure about the concentration, but it is a continual bombardment

That was exactly my point    There are 2 ideas if it goes wrong, i)that all matter on the planet will slowly change to XYZ particles over the course of a week and we'd all know it and be unable to stop it. or ii)that it will happen in nanoseconds in which case we would all-
