If you're trying to access the homepage of Ship Simulator, it's www.shipsim.com ;)

Regards.

If you look at the bottom of the page it says 'why am I seeing this page' and if you click, you will learn that the registration has expired. Probably the agent has pre-paid it and is now using it to generate some advertising since the owner hasn't continued the rent.

And if you didn't keep back up copies, then who is a silly Orinoco indeed? :(

Just remember

"A poor result + a good excuse does NOT = a good result." Conclusion: Never an excuse for failing to back up.

Trust me, I'm the worlds worst for not taking my own advice.

LOL! You find me a device that can back up 950GB of data. I'd rather spend the money on a better Graphics card than two external 500GB USB HDDs.  :D

Let me think....

Hmmm.... a couple of cheap DVDs or CDRs?

Remember that you don't need to back up programmes or the OS. Just 'my documents'. You make a ful MD backup and then every day/week you do an incremental backup (just files changed since last time you made a full backup)

Stuart, more than half of that 950GB is not installed programmes, but stuff that's collated on my HDD.  ;)

So what size is your main hard drive then?

If you really have 950Gb then you must be a very busy Orinoco indeed. That is a seriously large amount of data.

What on earth do you have on there?

I hate to think  :D

A lot of it is pictures and movies that I've taken/made (especially raw FRAPS ones). Plus there's all the "rubbish".  that I horde from t'internet. My friends and I occasionally do HDD swaps too, thus hording more "rubbish". My main HDD is 500GB.

Edited for language. Stu

Then you have a problem...

Even if you only back up the VITAL stuff- not the stuff you can download again or get from your friends.

i have most of those those DL's.

shipsimnet
ship10.zip
thru ship 22.zip

do not have ship #'s 12 or 13 as i recall an extraction error, therefore deleted them.

since its about 20 mb and stored on home pc which is still 56k this would be a one shot deal.  ;)

if someone is hosting a site or
an author who lost their work would maybe like a copy, (been there   :'( )

shoot me a pm cuz theres a good chance i aint gonna remember to stop back here again .
