The articel is 10 yrs old, but think if they found out they will rise her again!
Hope they do not raising the whole ship, for it is one of the world's most famous burial place for over 1000 people  :-\

I think you can assume it's old news by now, surely?

Titanic will never be raised from the ocean.  She belongs there now.

That idea got dropped a long time ago.

Probably because it's impossible to...

I think it was about eight years that they made the decision that it would be left alone, as it is a mass grave. Quoting from a ten year old news article can mean that things changed a lot afterwards.

(J3nsen has severely modified his original post as he hadn't realised that. He also deleted several others, which is why mine and Gloat's posts may look a little odd)

It's impossible to raise Titanic from that depth with todays level of technic + no one knows in which conditions is her hull there as it could break in to pieces while raising. But to raise her by parts to assemble on land will do only worse to the ship as she'll lose her historical sence
Anyways, I love that ship probably as much as RMS Gigantic, but we can't keep doing things to ships just because we think they are cool. Every ship must go. Even Titanic. She deserves no special privileges. The only privilege we need to give her is to let her go on her own. Shes a big girl and its up to her when she goes, not to us. :P
