Seriously, just because his nickname says that, doesn't mean his attitude is such too. As I have said, you yourself take almost every opportunity to throw in a bit of Titanic trivia where possible.. such volunteering of information, even when it isn't relevant to a conversation, could also be looked upon as a similar "look at how much I know" thing, as if you need to prove yourself as our resident Titanic 'expert', at any given chance. You even hinted in that other topic that you consider yourself the one they all go to for answers.

And well.. as long as you behave, I don't mind it personally, if you throw some Titanic stuff at us from time to time..  But this was an uncalled for 'attack' and looked very much as if you meant to show that he knows less than you. And well.. we have to respect each other regardless of skills or knowledge.

Remember.. a nickname is just a nickname.. not an official title and confirmation of ones abilities..

Fred, I never said I was a Titanic expert. I know when people know more on a subject than I do, and I respect that. I don't argue with the dynamics team at Vstep, as you recall from the PM I sent you, and I don't argue with the TRMA trustees about Titanic facts. When an arguement leads to a post that contains more detail than I can understand, I hush up, which is why I don't post in some topics after a period of time.

I never said I was a Titanic expert. I know next nothing compared to the REAL experts (would be nice to get one on this forum to sort some of this out. It would keep me quiet in these sorts of issues), which proves true in any situation.

I should probably apologize. It's just that the screenname "TheTitanicExpert" is like saying "Look at me! I'm the best! No one can point out a single flaw in me!"

P.S.: Titanic really DID have a box on the forward port side of the 2nd class staircase that no one knows the use of because it wasn't on Olympic. We call it the Mystery Box.

The only reason why I choose "TheTitanicExpert" is because I used the username "TitanicExpert" on Youtube and another website, DeviantART.  And anyway, although I am a fan of Titanic, there's one ship that I really into now.

PS. If I could, I would change my username to something else.

No he can't, neither could Firestar.. only an admin can do that..  And honestly, that's not the kind of job an administrator is here for. 

Regarding your P.P.S., Gigantic.. the guy who models the ship is allready among them isn't he?

Whenever you say "Vstep got it wrong" regarding the Titanic's model, you should actually adress the guy who made her. And those experts you have in mind, to help out, are on the same forum he is.

Regarding dynamics, I doubt they can supply much that isn't allready in the posession of the dynamics engineers.. and modelers aren't maritime engineers anyway, well, not often anyway...  And then it's also not as simple as just putting some numbers into a program and make the ship do exactly what the numbers say, o matter how reliable those numbers are. But Mvsmith has explained that many times, at lenght, so I best leave it at that, as I cannot explain it as good as he has, anyway.
