3d Project: Red Marker Buoy
« on: January 14, 2009, 03:52:19 »

Hi guys,

I provided some information on the information request topic a couple of days ago and thought why not create a buoy in 3D??  ;D

So here you go, I built the buoy in about 24 hours (spread over a few days mind) and is roughly 95% complete. Hope you like the buoy and I hope you enjoy the renderings  :)

Thanks MC,

I plan to model some more ship related objects such as a lighthouse and some more buoy maybe :)

Another rendering which I think is quite beautiful. Gives quite a tranquil feel of what a buoy does at night  ;D

Hope you like it :)

Wow, that looks fantastic! ;D

A far cry from my project Monarch anyway :D (I've got a topic in non-SS Project)

Thanks for your feedback everyone. I'm happy with the look of the buoy now but the valve box is a tad too small.

Lookout for more objects too, I'm really enjoying this at the moment  ;D

Great renderings..makes the buoy looks very new. What about add some rusty texture to the submerged part of the buoy? :)

Keep it up! ;D

Greetings,
Yes, very nice work indeed.
However,it's like JHB says, make her more real,by putting some rust on,and maybe some weeds on the waterline.
Regards
Marc
