Next Ship Simulator Yacht
« on: January 02, 2009, 15:57:54 »

As the Iron Flounder Project Draws to a close it is time to start the baseline of a Llamalord Vessel.

I have already decided that It will be a yacht.  To be more specific one of the most sought after types of yacht in the world.  The Classical Italian Yacht.  To give you an idea of what makes an Italian Yacht so special...  ...They typically have a bleached white hull, sleek long bowed design, and an all wood interior.  For the most part Italian Yachts are antiques and are worth alot historically.  But others are hot off the presses and very modern on the technical aspects and just look modern.  These are the two ships I will be basing my next yacht on either way.  What this poll will decide is the interior, specifications, and details such as building materials.

My yacht will have more the size and shape of the second yacht but some features of the first.
Also as my yacht is unnamed I need a good name before I begin work on anything but the hull.

Thanks,
  Llamalord

Really great, I like the slender lines of such yachts, but it's not very unlike the still existing classic yacht... :-\

This is going to be a nice project. I think it should be modern, but have the classic look, I can't wait for this project to start, good luck

I really love the old riva ariston and the riva aquarama.

They arent ships, but floating Italian beauty.

Hi Llamalord.

If it's of any use, I have a load of photos, especially interior shots, and spec and some of the plans for the Madiz, which is a very similar vessel.

Let me know if that's of interest and I can scan them and put them in the Bouyage section of Creators Forum for you.

After a full days careful review of the M/Y Madiz I have decided because of Terry's offer and an extensive database online at http://www.madiz.com/gallery.htm (http://www.madiz.com/gallery.htm) to model the M/Y Madiz exactly.

Thank you Terry Although maybe not at the moment those images would be greatly appreciated.  I will begin revision of the hull as soon as possible.

I love modeling real boats! ;D

"I Like it best as the first photo"

Which implys that you think it is the same vessel, may just be a misunderstanding though.
