Have you seen the trailer in HD yet? This version looks simply fantastic! It also appears that you can ride the rough sea, with land in sight! Nothing worse than leaving port, and being thrown in to the high seas, with the land you just left, completley dissapeared. This is what was missing from 2008. If this version looks as promising as the trailer indicates, then i can assure you that VSTEP have got this one spot on, and i will be first in the queue to buy it.

I think what Agent|Austin was trying to say was that there are a lot (and I do mean a lot) of other topics about SS2010. It's probably best to check what topics are already active before starting any new ones. Otherwise it does get somewhat overwhelming, especially for people who only log on one every week or two.

I, personally do not blame Austin for being "rude" as you people describe. As Austin made clear, these 2010 topics are making me go MAD, and scince Austin is being "rude" he must be tired of all these 2010 topics too, and I am sure many other people are. I just hope a ship simulator 2010 board comes up any time so we can have the disscussions there.

Back on topic, Yes I have seen the teaser trailer of ship sim 2010, and, as I have made clear, countless other topics asking the same question.

Then you are out of luck. We, on the other hand, can look forward to your non-presence. We get tired of the old rants against QV by those who canâ€™t grasp the fact that the vast majority of â€œQV errorsâ€ are caused by routines external to QV.

Right - good luck to you and hope you get lot of members in you "Gloat is gone" party.

And the reason I don't like QV is as you said, it gets a "vast majority" of errors. And I find that errors which read "blah blah blah questviewer could not read blah blah blah" are entirely caused by questviewer

What mvsmith tried to explain, Gloat, is that the Questviewer Error, is not an indication that Questviewer is at fault. It's merely the messenger, to tell you that there has been some conflict. And in 98% of the cases (rough estimate), if I look at the problems that are solved in Technical Support and the reasons these problems exsisted, it's not the game/QV that's at fault, but rather something else on the player's pc, hence mvsmith's reference to 'external routines'.

So your remark is just pulled out of thin air. It's simply not the case. Or do you have some proof that lead you to find it was so?

And as a general remark to a few of you that posted in this topic, please keep topics clean of this childish bickering. No new member needs to be welcomed with this mudslinging, keep that between yourselves and if you feel the need to critisize each other, do it in private. My patience with a few people that constantly go this way, is wearing very thin, to be honest... I am not picking sides, nor do I care who did what.. it will stop.

Actually in all of the hundreds of Technical Support issues that I have worked on and resolved NOT ONE has been caused by Questviewer.

From a straw poll, the most common problems are:

inappropriate video drivers
inadequate hardware (inadequate video card, low spec CPU, lack of memory, etc)
incorrect installation of updates
missing or inadequate CODECs
user error
