Leap Second
« on: January 01, 2009, 16:05:29 »

Did you know that last night not only was this a leap year thus an added day it was also a leap second.  The official world time keepers added a whole second to the clock.

Personally I don't thank it will make a difference in our lives considering is only happens every 100 years.  But we all know how much of a difference to Astro Physicists around the world. ;D

I wondered if the count down till' the ball drop in New York was going to progress.

10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 3, 2, 1...   HAPPY NEW YEAR!!! :D

Hahaha, Well I did notice that Dick Clark was one second behind the screen xD For like 5 seconds.

And what happened tot he ball? Doesn't it like, light up and fireworks and whatnot? Must be horrible for the designers to see it not work at the right time.

And the ball cost 5 MILLION DOLLARS ?_? And weighed 2 tons or something, I think Ryan said that.

Haha, almsot close to American Idle Auditions, my favorite part xD

Yes that is exactly what happens.  And yes they built a new ball this year for New York.

It was shiny! ;)
