For the Dutch Ministry of Transportation & Water Management (Rijkswaterstaat), VSTEP has developed a lock master training simulator. Lock masters use this simulator to train and learn remote lock operations in a dynamically changing environment and learn to respond to different situations and incidents.

The lock master simulator includes a highly detailed and realistic representation of 4 existing locks in and around which real-life scenario's and incidents can be created: 
Grevelingensluis (Lock of Grevelingen)
Zandkreeksluis (Lock of Zandkreek)
Bergsediepsluis (Lock of Bergsediep)
Roompotsluis (Lock of Roompot)

The lock master simulators are used in the instruction center at the Topshuis Eastern Scheldt storm surge barrier building.

Yes, I was reading about this somewhere, I think it was in another topic, or on the V-STEP website. Looks very good, it just shows what V-STEP are capable of

Wow, it would be great to have this locks in the game!

Especially biceaus I allmost went trough every single one of them on our sailing yacht. 
The Roompot-, Zandkreek- and Bergsediepsluis.

The picture Jensen showes is the Roompot lock.
I went trough that lock a lot biceaus my parents had a yacht in Roompot

lol i think that ship looks too big to enter the lock but that is also something that needs to be in a Sim because its a part of sailing a ship!

ah lock systems, a good american system is most certainly the Erie canal in upstate New York, you can come from europe across the atlantic, head up the hudson river, through the canals and into the great lakes, not sure if you can go anywhere after that, but that would be one heck of a trip

Hallo Master Captain. I already asked for a lock system to be instaled in next system, while I think the Erie Canal is more or less a inner seaway and not workable for seagoing ships. If thinking of locks/canals in North America it would be better to have the Seaway and/or Welland canal fm Montreal via Ontario Lake to Lake Eria, but I think the distances are too much in such an inviroment in the SS.
There are other parts in the world, where locks sytems could be intersesting for the SS, i.e. Kiel Canal with 2 ports, 1 at each side for actions in missions and ofcourse Panama Canal with locks/locomotors towing ships into locks, canal passage and also 2 ports, 1 at each side of ar lot of missions able to be created.

i think it's a good idea when VSTEP make's that sim's also as add-ons in shipsimulator
locks are very good in a ship simulator and the bulk crane sim is also nice
